Barnes Group Inc. seeks a graphic designer and social media associate with excellent multitasking and project management skills to serve as a Graphic Design & Social Media Associate at its corporate office.

Under the direction of the Manager, Corporate Communications

  • Provide creative solutions for various graphic design projects, including projects for corporate functions such as Human Resources, Legal, Finance, Senior Leadership, and SBUs as needed

  • Support corporate-wide Social Media program, including optimizing, maintaining, and monitoring Corporate Social Media sites, specifically, HR related recruiting sites including LinkedIn, Career Builder, Glass Door and career website portals

  • Responsible for supporting Corporate Communications brand standard alignment efforts and for ensuring consistency of visual brand identity, logos and other brand elements in all internal and external communication materials (print and digital)

  • Responsible for updating corporate recruiting employee testimonial materials, including pop-up stands, printed inserts and online media channels

  • Responsible for enhancing, updating and maintaining consistent visual branding of corporate HR and HRIS internal websites, including Employee Self-Services, Red Carpet On-Boarding, and Taleo Performance Management sites

  • Maintain employee photo archive and corporate event photography

  • Responsible for design of external advertisements and other printed promotional materials as needed

  • Responsible for supporting the Corporate Communications Specialist as needed

  • Experience Required
    • Minimum of 2 year experience in graphic design with demonstrated proficiency in website visual design and development
    • Proficient in usage of social media channels including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Google+

    • Excellent creative design, layout, and production skills for print and digital media

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Highly dependable, outstanding attention to detail, and strong follow up skills

    • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines.

    • Desire and willingness to work in a collaborative, innovative, and team-oriented environment

    Education Requirements:
    • Bachelors degree in a Communications, Graphic Design, Web Design, Multimedia, or related field
