Regular, Part-Time (50% FTE), RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the University of Hawaii Maui College (UHMC), Asia Pacific Research Initiative for Sustainable Energy Systems (APRISES) Maui College Grid Integration Grant, located at University of Hawaii Maui College, located in Kahului, Maui, Hawaii. Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs, satisfactory work performance, availability of funds, and compliance with applicable Federal/State laws.

MINIMUM MONTHLY SALARY: $1,094.50/Mon. (@ 50% FTE).

DUTIES: Assists the UHMC Project Director in the procurement of goods and services for the APRISES Maui College Grid Integration Grant. Maintains day-to-day project accounting, budget management, quarterly and final reports, procurement of goods and services for participants, bid and contract administration, and overall maintenance of project files. Provides technical and knowledge based procurement support to program personnel and participants.

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Associate’s Degree from an accredited community college in Business Administration or a related field (High School Diploma or G.E.D. with two to four (2-4) years of progressively responsible, related work experience may substitute for Associate’s Degree). EXPERIENCE: Three to five (3-5) years administrative work experience involving procurement. Work experience should include bookkeeping/accounting, administrative assistant/secretarial, and organizing/planning duties. ABIL/KNOW/SKILLS: Knowledge of office operations, personal computer applications (MS Word, MS Excel, internet), and office equipment. Must have good bookkeeping/accounting and ten-key skills. Proficient in use of personal computers with MS Windows operating system. Proficient in use of MS Office programs. Ability to use MS Excel in the creation and updating of spreadsheets. Proficient in drafting and proof-reading memos, letters, and e-mails for general office correspondence. Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions. Must be able to analyze, interpret, and use sound logic and judgement in application for a variety of financial/administrative rules and regulations. Must have problem-solving and critical analysis skills.

SECONDARY QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of grant management and procurement, state bid requirements, and/or community based human service procedures. Experience using MS Access (or similar application). Familiarity with UH and RCUH administrative and procurement procedures.
