DESCRIPTION

Maintains grounds of industrial, commercial, or public property. Must have a clean driving record and be at least 25 years of age to meet insurance requirement.

Experience preferred or willingness to learn.

Will be working with employees with disabilities.

1 Part-time position is available.

Location: Jacksonville, AR.

DUTIES

Cuts lawns.

Trims and edges around walks, flower beds, and walls.

Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs.

Sprays lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides.

Rakes and bags or burns leaves.

Cleans grounds and removes litter.

Polices the grounds to remove rocks prior to mowing.

Polices lots, grounds, and assigned areas to remove trash and debris.

Disposes of debris in assigned containers.

Shovels snow from walks and driveways.

Spreads salt on public passage ways to prevent ice buildup.

Picks up litter, bags if possible, and places bags on vehicle.

Avoids roadways, walkways and other travelled areas to assure a safe work area.

Plants grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs.

Waters lawn and shrubs.

Repairs fences, gates, walls, and walks.

Paints fences and outbuildings.

Cleans out drainage ditches, gutters and culverts.

Sharpens tools such as weed cutters, edging tools, and shears.

Performs operational checks daily and daily maintains equipment in proper working order.

Makes minor repairs on equipment such as lawn mower, spreader, and snow removal equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess current Arkansas Driver's license
Clean record for past 3 years.

Must be at least 25 years old for insurance purposes.

Must be able to drive a 15 passenger van.

Able to work in all weather conditions.

Experience preferred.
