Group Leader – Janitorial Services,
this is your unique opportunity to set your mark and live on the leading edge. This position is responsible for the coordination of the Executive Housekeeping staff. This staff has responsibility for all the sanitation needs of Kohler Co. executives, vice-presidents and above. The staff also cleans other security sensitive areas, Corporate Aircraft, and performs set-ups for various conference rooms. The Group Leader is also operationally responsible for contract cleaners working in the Main Office, and other service areas as directed
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
Plans, directs and controls activities of the Kohler executive housekeeping staff and contract custodial vendor through assignments of staff and directions to the vendor supervision.
Conducts daily and weekly inspections of all executive office areas to insure that cleaning specifications are adhered to. Takes corrective action with employees and/or contract cleaner|
Reviews and checks established security procedures to ensure that security sensitive areas are locked at the end of each shift and all door keys are accounted for. Reports any non-standard condition to Security Department.
Plans, schedules, and coordinates project cleaning tasks such as window cleaning, tile, and carpet cleaning.
Maintains inventory and requisitions supplies utilized by the executive housekeeping staff.
Maintains staff levels throughout the year by filling in during vacations and sick time of administrative office sanitation employees.
Assists in the preparation of operating expense expenditure budgets annually.
Reports on progress at regular intervals through formal and informal means.
When requested, assist with planning and providing special services for the executive functions.
Observes and reports the conformance to the mandatory recycling policy.
Performs all duties as directed by supervision.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - WHAT YOU NEED TO QUALIFY
HS Diploma with a minimum 3 years successful experience in housekeeping/maintenance. Associate’s Degree/Some college, nice to have.
Solid knowledge and previous exposure to the Janitorial Business.
Good computer skills and experience with MS Office, Excel, Outlook. Previous experience ordering supplies nice to have.
Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead internal Kohler employees and contractor/vendor services.
Organized and Detail-Oriented worker, with the ability to juggle and manage multiple projects
High degree of professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality and work unseen in highly sensitive situations.
Ability to work 2
shift with the ability to work other shifts as needed, often with short notice.
