The Live-In On-Call Clinician is responsible for providing clinical back-up and advice to awake staff during the night shift at the residential program of the Gunderson Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) Center at McLean Hospital, an educational and residential treatment program located in Cambridge, MA., with capacity for nine private-pay clients.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain availability during specified hours in person, by phone or by pager to respond to and assist regular, awake staff with urgent clinical emergencies. This position requires a strong clinical emphasis and experience with Borderline Personality Disorder is strongly preferred.
Must live on site full-time in furnished studio apartment.
In any clinical situation where considerations for acute psychiatric evaluation is necessary, the Live-in Clinician"€™s role is to be the primary responder with the expectation that he/she will work with the doctor on call and/or the patient"€™s primary therapist and will be involved with all appropriate staff to make clinical decisions.
Must hold appropriate license for level of practice in the state of MA. Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC),
MSW/ (LCSW or LICSW),
Nursing/ (RN or APRN)2-3 Years post licensure experience preferred.
Must have a valid MA driver’s license.
