Job Description:
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a retired/ former US Army or
US Marine Corps Multiple Launch Rocket System
(MLRS/HIMARS) NCO to serve as the HIMARS Fire Direction
Centers Trainer for the Jordanian Armed Forces High
Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) Technical
Assistance Field Team (TAFT).
This position is located in the country of Jordan.
This Security Assistance Training Team is being provided
to the Jordanian Armed Forces in support of increasing
the capabilities of the Jordanian Armed Forces. This
training team is being provided as part of a Security
Assistance Training Program that directly supports U.S.
Foreign Policy and the execution of Department of
Defense Security Cooperation Plans and Programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Train and advise battery and platoon commanders train
battery and platoon commanders on their roles in the
tactical planning process, Reconnaissance, Selection and
Occupation of Position (RSOP), battery command and
control, battery operations center (BOC) and platoon
operations center (POC) operation, and logistics
  • Train and advise platoon level operations, to include,
Reconnaissance, Selection and Occupation of Position
(RSOP), resupply/reload, convoy operations, crew level
maintenance, firing procedures, and emergency procedures
  • Responsible for the development of POIs, lesson plans,
slides, and student handouts
  • Educate and Train the respective levels of Jordanian
artillery soldiers to serve as members, leaders, and to
supervise a HIMARS battalion and battery fire direction
center or firing platoon headquarters
For over nine years, AMERICAN SYSTEMS has supported the
delivery of training services to foreign military
personnel in support of US foreign assistance programs.
We offer a very competitive compensation and there are
no upfront out of pocket expenses for persons hired. All
travel and transportation arrangements will be made and
paid for by AMERICAN SYSTEMS. Living expenses are paid
by AMERICAN SYSTEMS with all employees living in
western-style secure accommodations. Work is performed
five days per week at a secure facility/base within the
host nation (foreign purchaser). Persons hired will be
full-time salaried employees of AMERICAN SYSTEMS. There
is no requirement/authorization to carry firearms.

Job Requirements:
  • Retired/ former senior NCO Army MLRS/HIMARS operator (
13M ), Marine Field Artillery Cannoneer, US Army Warrant
Officer ( 131A ), or Marine Warrant Officer ( 0803 )
  • Shall possess the equivalent skill-sets of a HIMARS
FDC-Chief with combat experience
  • Shall have two years’ experience as the subject matter
expert in fire direction center operations the battalion
and battery levels with an in depth knowledge of
Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS)
  • Must have completed the Advanced Noncommissioned
Officer Course or the US Marine Corp equivalent
  • Must be able to train battery and platoon commanders on
their roles in the tactical planning process,
Reconnaissance, Selection and Occupation of Position
(RSOP), battery command and control, battery operations
center (BOC) and platoon operations center (POC)
operation, and logistics
  • Must have advanced knowledge of platoon level
operations, to include, Reconnaissance, Selection and
Occupation of Position (RSOP), resupply/reload, convoy
operations, crew level maintenance, firing procedures,
and emergency procedures
  • Master Gunner Qualified ( ASI- A7 ) highly desired
  • HIMARS maintainer/repairer certified, highly desired
  • Must be consistent with AR 670-1 Grooming standards and
AR 600-9 Height and Weight standards in order to utilize
Army uniforms and equipment in the performance of duties
  • Medical physical exam within the last 12-months with no
chronic conditions that would prevent performance of
duties in a semi-austere, seasonably very-hot
environment with limited access to “western standard”

  • Must possess a current US Tourist Passport. (Passport
must not expire within 12-months of being hired)
  • Candidate must be drug-free with ability to
successfully pass drug screening test
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
  • Ability to effectively conduct cross-cultural
communications and deliver training/instruction with the
use of an interpreter
  • Retired/ former Army or Marine HIMARS NCO or Warrant
Officer
  • Prior experience as a HIMARS FDC chief
  • Prior experience conducting cross-cultural
communications and delivering training/instruction with
the use of an interpreter
  • Prior experience developing military instructional
material
  • Prior experience working with and training foreign
military personnel is highly desired
  • Prior experience working with foreign military
personnel in the region
  • Prior experience as a military instructor in the
related skill is highly desired
