Job Description:
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a retired/ former senior
enlisted US Army or US Marine Corps Multiple Launch
Rocket System (MLRS/HIMARS) repairer to serve as the
HIMARS Maintenance Trainer for the Jordanian Armed
Forces High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS)
Technical Assistance Field Team (TAFT).
This position is located in the country of Jordan.
This Security Assistance Training Team is being provided
to the Jordanian Armed Forces in support of increasing
the capabilities of the Jordanian Armed Forces. This
training team is being provided as part of a Security
Assistance Training Program that directly supports US
Foreign Policy and the execution of Department of
Defense Security Cooperation Plans and Programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Train Jordanian artillery soldiers to troubleshoot
self-propelled loader launcher (SPLL) and the launcher
module (LLM) electrical, electronic, mechanical
assemblies, modules, and interconnecting cables to
isolate malfunction
  • Train Jordanian artillery soldiers to replace or repair
electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical assemblies,
modules, and cables determined to be faulty
  • Train Jordanian artillery soldiers to use breakout
boxes and built in test equipment (BITE) for fault
isolation and verification or adjustment of electrical
assemblies and modules of LLM
  • Train Jordanian artillery soldiers to repair and
replace chassis mounted components on units under test
  • Train Jordanian artillery soldiers operate system cable
tester
  • Train Jordanian artillery soldiers perform unit
maintenance on system peculiar test, training, and
ancillary equipment
  • Train Jordanian artillery soldiers to assist automatic
test equipment (ATE) operator in fault isolating LLM
electronic modules and assembles to component level at
organization level
  • Train Jordanian artillery soldiers to prepare and
maintain equipment logs, equipment modification and
utilization records, exchange logs, and calibration data
cards
  • Train Jordanian artillery soldiers to complete
maintenance and supply forms and records
For over nine years, AMERICAN SYSTEMS has supported the
delivery of training services to foreign military
personnel in support of US foreign assistance programs.
We offer a very competitive compensation and there are
no upfront out of pocket expenses for persons hired. All
travel and transportation arrangements will be made and
paid for by AMERICAN SYSTEMS. Living expenses are paid
by AMERICAN SYSTEMS with all employees living in
western-style secure accommodations. Work is performed
five days per week at a secure facility/base within the
host nation (foreign purchaser). Persons hired will be
full-time salaried employees of AMERICAN SYSTEMS. There
is no requirement/authorization to carry firearms.

Job Requirements:
  • Retired/ former senior NCO Army or Marine Corp
MLRS/HIMARS repairer ( 94P ) or hold the additional
skill identifier of H9
  • Shall possess the equivalent skill-sets of a U.S. Army
HIMARS forward support company maintenance section
leader with combat experience
  • Shall have experience in HIMARS launcher maintenance
  • Shall have two years’ experience as a trainer in a
HIMARS battalion transformation program and/or
experience as a trainer at the U.S. Army Field Artillery
School
  • Must have completed the Advanced Noncommissioned
Officer Course or the U.S. Marine Corp equivalent
  • Must be consistent with AR 670-1 Grooming standards and
AR 600-9 Height and Weight standards in order to utilize
Army uniforms and equipment in the performance of duties
  • Medical physical exam within the last 12-months with no
chronic conditions that would prevent performance of
duties in a semi-austere, seasonably very-hot
environment with limited access to “western standard”

  • Must possess a current US Tourist Passport. (Passport
must not expire within 12-months of being hired)
  • Candidate must be drug-free with ability to
successfully pass drug screening test
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
  • Ability to effectively conduct cross-cultural
communications and deliver training/instruction with the
use of an interpreter
  • Retired/ former Army or Marine HIMARS repairer
  • Prior experience as a HIMARS forward support company
maintenance section leader
  • Prior experience as a maintenance trainer
  • Prior experience as a trainer in a HIMARS battalion
transformation program
  • Prior experience conducting cross-cultural
communications and delivering training/instruction with
the use of an interpreter
  • Prior experience developing military instructional
material
  • Prior experience as a military instructor in the
related skill
  • Prior experience working with and training foreign
military personnel
  • Prior experience working with foreign military
personnel in the region
