HPDD I/O & Network Architect
Job Description: Research and recommend technology to improve the current systems in support of organization's strategic vision. Responsible for translating business requirements into specific systems, applications, data or process designs for very large complex IT solutions and integrating architecture. . Design, develop, and analyze overall architecture. Determine integrated hardware, software and data architecture solutions that meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security needs. Lead on architectural governance and decisions related to Product , Technology and system tradeoffs as part of a cross functional architecture decision group. Provide direction for design activities.
The HPDD I/O & Network architect is responsible for the over-arching architectural design for HPDD activities. The successful candidate will work with the Senior HPDD Architect staff to develop, document and maintain the roadmap for HPDD products. They will also engage the community, representing the technical activities and evangelizing products and roadmap externally.
This role is focused on both the short-range activities as well as long-range research and planning efforts underway to take Lustre to Exascale performance levels. Responsibilities include designing and developing product architecture to meet Exascale design goals and analyzing feasibility of requirements and priorities for development. This includes development of technical content to describe this architecture in white papers, proposals and presentations as well as development of high-level resource estimations and roadmap planning. Collaborate across HPC groups within Intel to communicate and educate on the HPDD activities and vision.
* 5 years experience architecting High Performance Computing Solutions
* 5 years experience in proposal development (technical content development and engineering estimation)
* 5 years experience working with government contracts (managing or project execution)
* Required Bachelor's degree in a computer science, math, or engineering-related field.
