The HR Administrator/Corporate Recruiter works closely with the HR Manager, Executives, department leads, employees and candidates to ensure BRG culture, growth and training programs are achieved in accordance with legal requirements, and company initiatives.

Responsibilities
Administrative/Office Support

§ Setup and coordinate internal meetings, creative teambuilding activities and conferences as required

§ Setup and coordinate hotel and travel accommodations as required

§ Work closely with IT, Marketing, Sales, Tools & Enablement departments to create a cohesive, innovative culture focused on employee satisfaction and retention

HR

§ Coordinate on-boarding paperwork, and schedule new hire activities and training

§ Assist and coordinate with the employee off-boarding process

§ Assist and coordinate company training programs and/or assist department leads in coordinating any department specific training sessions

§ Assist in benefit open enrollment and new hire benefit coordination

§ Initiate background checks for potential new hires, and follows through to ensure clear and complete while keeping HR and the hiring manager informed

§ Audit background checks for existing personnel to ensure compliance requirements are being met

§ Update personnel records and system administrators of pay changes, promotions, terminations, address changes, etc.

§ Confer with HR Manager to respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs

§ Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance

§ Assist in Canadian benefit administration

§ Other duties as required

Recruiting

§ Develop and maintain network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates

§ Initiate contact with possibly qualified candidates for specific job openings

§ Review applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position

§ Screen and refer candidates for additional interviews with others in organization

§ Develop and coordinate external and internal job posting program

§ Arrange travel and accommodations for out-of-town candidates

§ Coordinates communications with applicants

§ Files and maintains employment records within BRG drive(s) and ATS (Taleo) for future reference

§ Update and manage organizational chart

§ Participates in ad hoc reporting requests as per HR Manager and BRG leadership

Qualifications

Required

§ Possess leadership qualities, including assertiveness and demonstrate good judgment.

§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to effectively present information to employees and C-level executives

§ Willingness to think outside of the box and creatively present new ideas for company innovation initiative

§ Intermediate/expert knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, along with Google Docs and WebEX

§ Willingness to adapt in a fast paced environment

§ College diploma/Active pursuit of degree

§ Enjoys working in a team environment

§ Customer service minded and maintains a positive attitude

Preferred

§ Prior HR Administration or Recruiting Experience

§ Prior experience developing tools and templates for HR

§ Prior experience creating and administering training materials and programs
