This Human Resource Leadership development role seeks individuals who are graduates with a Master s degree in Human Resources, have relevant work experience and who aspire to provide future senior level HR leadership for us.
We are looking for individuals seeking a developmental career path which includes a set of HR assignments in different geographies and businesses/functions across the company. The position will include some time in our corporate headquarters in Federal Way, WA but will be assigned to one of our operating facilities for the first 2-3 years, most likely in the Southern US manufacturing locations.
As a strategic business partner, major responsibilities include providing direct support and consultation to Operating Leaders regarding: workforce planning; talent management; recruitment and selection of hourly and salaried positions; employee relations; labor contract management; performance management; safety; education and training, work systems improvement; change management; compensation; diversity and compliance requirements.
The individual will work in an operations unit learning critical components of the operation and the human resources role in improving that operation. This individual will have a key role in the leadership team of the unit and will be a full participant in leading that unit. You ll be building strong partnerships with managers as you work on the day to day issues they face. The individual will be mentored and will get a wide exposure to the operations.
Over time, the individual will take on different assignments that will vary from working in different operating business units to possible human resource functional areas like benefits, compensation, or diversity. This will require the individual to be able to commit to at least 2-3 geographic assignments to accelerate a broad range of HR development experiences.
Required experience: 2 - 5 years
- 3-5 years relevant work experience in human resources
- Masters Level degree in Human Resources
- Willingness to relocate 2-3 times to different geographic regions (2-3 year time frames each)
- Individual s long term goal must be to focus on human resource leadership.
- Flexible to work across multiple customer groups.
- Be able to thrive in a manufacturing environment.
