Human Resources Business Partner I - M&T Bank
Position Location: Rosenn Jenkins Building, Wilkes Barre, Pa.
The HR Business Partner will be a dedicated resource and the conduit to the HR Centers of Excellence (COE) in the identification and satisfaction of all HR needs. The HR Business Partner will be the strategic business partner for Retail Banking in the Northern PA / Southern NY market.
Serve as a primary source of contact for senior managers on HR-related matters.
Proactively provide strategic HR solutions in order to meet business line objectives, including:
Talent Management - facilitate annual talent review process
Advise and support the development of key personnel
Advise on organizational structure to align to business strategies
Facilitate business restructuring
Recruitment - collaborates with the line to develop a staffing strategy which identifies future recruiting needs based on growth, turnover and emerging requirements.
M&T Commitment - manage the delivery of engagement results; collaborate on the establishment of impact plans; work with senior management to drive and achieve impact plans, and ultimately positively influence engagement.
Employee Relations - supports, coaches, and counsels the management team regarding employment, legal and employee relations issues. Acts as a liaison to the Employee Relations COE as needed.
Compensation and Benefits - serve as a liaison between business line and compensation and benefits on job evaluations and compensation analyses; provide counsel during annual merit cycle.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Minimum of 7 years professional work experience
Bachelor's degree or in lieu of degree, 11+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience
Proven analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to follow through and deliver results
Demonstrated interpersonal, collaboration and team building skills
Demonstrated ability to develop and enhance relationships with employees, managers, and business partners at all levels
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to balance and prioritize heavy workload and multiple projects in a high-pressure environment
Demonstrated presentation and meeting facilitation skills
Effective persuasion and influencing skills
High personal standard of integrity
Ability to handle highly sensitive matters with objectivity and discretion
Ability to travel as needed
Ideal Qualifications Preferred:
Financial services industry experience
Previous HR experience
