GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Responsible for performing a variety of human resource support duties. Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable. Must have attention to detail and be thorough in completing work tasks and meet deadlines. Perform any other duties as directed by management.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

Process payroll semi-monthly and ensure payroll is ready for auditing; enter payroll deduction authorizations, vacation/sick requests, jury duty, bereavement, and other payroll related forms, sort and distribute paychecks; process payroll status changes, meal break waivers, and EDD requests; set-up new hires/rehires and send new user requests; complete Wage Protection Act forms; assist with Employee Self Service and Money Network Payroll Services; Business card verifications and V.O.E.’s; Maintain Paycom and input employee photos; ensure personnel/confidential files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and company policies and procedures; provide administrative support to the HR Department including, but not limited to, filing, distributing mail, faxing, scanning, and copying; prepare and send out daily payroll reports and other reports as needed; enter changes to W-4 elections, direct deposits, employee information changes, etc.; assist with employee benefit enrollment; archive files; assign employee lockers; Answer main HR phone line; greet and assist walk-up visitors; complete special projects; and back-up other human resource staff as needed.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:

Associates degree preferred; experience in all areas of human resource duties or equivalent education; excellent communication skills both verbal and written; ability to handle confidential information.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS:

To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.

Heavy Work: Lifting up to 25 lbs occasionally.

Work Environment: Indoor climate controlled environment.
