Brief Position Description:

  • Position will be located in Alpharetta and provide day-to-day HR generalist support Alpharetta office including any employment verification’s and UHC benefit related questions and assisting at Open Enrollment times
  • Weekly cement updates to Dallas
  • Weekly cement updates for SAP to Colombia
  • Position will also lead/support various HR projects as assigned by the HR
  • Ensure all aspects of Transactional HR
  • Assist with Recruiting for the Alpharetta office and cement salaried positions

Ensure Efficient Staffing:
Deals with aspects of short term and long term needs, recruitment selection & induction for the various Argos US salaried positions
Develop and Execute Recruiting Plans: -

  • Work with hiring managers on recruiting based on the JD supplied by local HR.
  • Help lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position
  • Help efficiently and effectively fill open positions
  • Help to build networks to find qualified passive candidates. (ie linked In)
  • Post open position in appropriate venues
  • Utilize the internet for recruiting
  • Post positions to appropriate internet sources
  • Help establish the company website recruiting page to assist in recruiting
  • Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates
  • Pre-screening candidates and send final candidates to Hiring Mgr.
  • Interview with Hiring Mgr. as needed basis for the Alpharetta office
  • Completes all HR-centric orientation processes for new recruits

Coordinate and Implement College recruiting Initiatives: - Colleges to be determined

  • Coordinate college recruiting initiatives
  • Attend career fairs for recruiting
  • Arrange for the assistance of Product Line mgr. as required
  • Lead events on campus
  • Organization and distribution of giveaways

Assist with Compensation & Benefits:
Bonus and Merit review cycle & motivation

  • Ensure effective communication of employer benefits, compensation programs and bonus to all employees
  • Support the appropriate managers in the bonus and merit compensation cycles

Develop and Maintain Employee Relations:
Deals with aspects of positive work environment, employee engagement, commitment and motivation, areas of conflict and potential litigation, health and safety policies and compliance

  • Provide guidance for conflict resolution and other ER issues and employee law decisions
  • Act as employee advocate and/or ombudsman as appropriate
  • Structures and/or support systems designed to deal with discipline decisions
  • Investigate employee concerns and complaints that could put the business and work environment at risk

RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHERS’ JOBS:

Work in close co-operation with

 Leadership team in the plants, terminals and sales offices
 Work with Payroll and Benefits departments
 Contribute to the development of HR knowledge of the Line staff

QUALIFICATION PROFILE:
Education:
 Bachelor degree is required. Preferred degree is Human Resources Mgmt.

Work Experience:
 At least 3-5 years’ experience as a HR generalist duties (i.e., recruiting, orientation, employee relations, policy administration, etc.) is a must.
