Job Description: BestFit is currently seeking a HR Specialist who will be responsible for all key HR requirements including Recruiting and Talent Planning, Benefits Administration, HR policies and administration, and payroll management. This person must have a deep experience as a Technical Recruiter, and will be responsible for executing the internal recruitment strategy, including sourcing, candidate relationship management, marketing and branding, activities, and selection process management. In addition, this individual must spearhead the transition to standalone benefits and payroll administration. The right candidate must partner with managers and employees to provide Human Resources consultation and support on HR initiatives in the areas of employee relations, performance management and legal compliance. This position will be reporting to the COO.
Recruiting Job Functions:
Partner with and support BestFit’s hiring managers to understand recruiting and skill-set needs,
Write job descriptions
Source candidates through innovative sourcing efforts
Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements
Serve as the primary point of contact for recruits throughout the full recruiting cycle (i.e., communicate status, answer questions, negiotiate offers, schedule start dates and coordinate all follow-up efforts
Create, implement, and execute campus strategy including but not limited to hosting corporate presentations, connecting with student groups, attending career fairs and on-campus interviews and connecting with students creatively
Implement a consistent screening process for all candidates including technical, project/account management, and design
Track, analyze and report candidate pipeline status, recruiting trends and key performance indicators
Coordinate company-wide recruiting initiatives
HR Generalist Job Functions:
Manage transition from outsourced benefits program to fully standalone
Define and implement a full performance management system
Coach managers on performance management issues and the creation and implementation of performance improvement plans
Proactively manages legal risk; ensures manager and employee compliance with company policies and procedures, and governmental regulations
Provides coaching and/or programs to address business issues related to areas such as performance management, compensation, retention, training/development, and workforce planning
Proactively respond to employee questions regarding but not limited to the following: benefits, employee relations, and company policies
Implement company-wide people policies, programs and processes
Communicates to managers and employees regarding HR initiatives through both verbal and written communication
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years experience managing HR and recruiting at a high profile technology company. Experience as a business partner or HR generalist; strong influence, change management and customer service skills
HR generalist skills, including employee relations and employment law, compensation, performance management, and recruitment
Experience and deep understanding of software technology hiring requirements, practices and benchmarking
Keen knowledge of competitive technical markets as well as industry specific related data to facilitate in direct sourcing efforts
Must have a clear understanding of the recruiting process and the importance of the candidate and hiring manager experience and willingness to enhance processes to provide a stronger experience
Strong analytical, reporting and presentation skills
Experience working with an applicant tracking system
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication
Exceptional organization skills with high attention to detail
