New Jersey Resources is currently seeing a part-time, temporary Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter to work in our Wall, New Jersey location.

THIS POSITION IS PART-TIME AND TEMPORARY

Basic Function :

Responsible to support recruiting for all companies and general administration of other HR functions to support the business units and enable them to achieve their initiatives and objectives.

Major Responsibilities :

  • Provide advice and counsel to hiring managers and upper management on recruiting, hiring, policy, and procedures.


  • Manage all activities associated with open requisitions including posting open jobs, interview process, advertising, candidate management, pre-employment physicals, background checks, new employee orientation. Coordinate employee data changes. Follow up with collective bargaining agreement requirements.


  • Partner with businesses and lead interview process. Schedule and conduct interviews according to procedures.


  • Identify and document sourcing and recruitment strategies for all positions. Identify sources to address areas of underutilization. Implement sourcing process improvements.


  • Responsible for the data integrity of Success Factors recruiting system, all reporting and analysis. Create comprehensive reports for tracking required affirmative action candidate data utilizing SuccessFactors and manual data sources. Update and maintain data sources as appropriate.


  • Update and maintain all new and existing HR policies and procedures as they relate to responsibilities.


  • Identify areas for process improvement. Write or update policy and procedure for any process changes within area of responsibility.


  • Position Specifications :

    Required: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor relations, business or other relevant degree with 3 -5 years experience working as an HR generalist or 8-10 years experience as an HR generalist or functional professional. Minimum 2 years recent experience focused on staffing function and managing candidate management system, including report writing and analysis. Experience working with executives preferred. Knowledge of employment law, compensation practices, company policies, labor relations. Experience working in a union environment preferred. Computer skills including intermediate level proficiency in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Excellent organizational and communication skills required. Ability to work independently, as well as a team member.

    Candidates for this position will be required to successfully complete a background check and physical including drug screen.
