Job Summary:
The tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Communicates benefit changes and assists employees with benefits enrollment as needed

Answers questions regarding Hospital Policy and Procedures regarding employees.

Demonstrates the ability to use work processing system, HRIS and Excel Programs accurately and rapidly.

Performs duties in an independent manner with little or no direct supervision.


Assists employees with and accepts completed routine personnel forms.


Assists with special assignments and projects as assigned by the Director of HR.


Demonstrates skill in handling pressures, stress and crisis situations.

Constructively deals with difficult and frustrating situations.

Provides administrative support, including payroll, Human Resources and benefits for additional facilities

Participates in employee corrective action/counseling’s needed.

Under supervision of the Director of HR takes all necessary steps to ensure Human Resources Department compliance with TJC Standards.


Demonstrates thorough knowledge and can explain all insured benefit plans (Answers routine questions regarding benefits)

Counsels employees and provides technical guidance regarding benefits decisions.

Compiles customized reports using HRIS System when requested by Directors, Administration or others.

Researches and compiles reports related to salaries, benefits, and turnover within defined deadlines.

Demonstrates thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulation in correctly responding to routine questions.

Tactfully handles difficult situations, all contacts are handled professionally and always with courtesy. Respects, at all times, the confidentiality of employee, applicant and volunteer information and uses complete discretion when discussing these matters




PHR Certification pref


Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred. An equivalent in demonstrated job experience may be considered with comprehensive references.


3-5 years of previous HR experience, preferably in a Generalist Role


Previous healthcare experience highly preferred


Must have excellent computer skills – HRIS and Microsoft product


Excellent written and verbal communication skills require


Strong Customer Service skills required


Must have the ability to work independently


Bi-lingual pref.
