We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist in our HR Global Specialties department.
This position reports to CAO and Human Resources Managers who each have dedicated global client groups. The client groups include: Global Industries, Global Claims, PEMA, Trade Credit and Political Risk, Marsh Global Analytics, Marsh Risk Solutions, Office of Innovation, and MRM/MCG. The position provides support to HR Leaders and business managers in regards to communication of policies and procedures, recruitment/employment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, training, HR Data Reporting and Analysis, Project / Process Management, and HR Transactions.
Major Responsibilities Include
Oversee the day to day running of the HR Department handling daily employee questions and requests.
Functions as the backup for the HR Manager position.
Coaches managers on HR processes and procedures.
Provides support to employees in matters relating to HR policies and practices.
Full-cycle recruitment of exempt and non-exempt personnel; conducting exit interviews and analyzing turnover data.
Creates and maintains critical records and reports in the Human Resources Information System.
Develops plans and implements with the HR Manager company and region wide initiatives
Coordinates organizational training and development efforts.
Administers compensation program and performance appraisal system;
Based on the business needs, create, maintain and deliver moderate to complex HR metrics to support business in making strategic operational decisions
Support the roll out of projects in the client groups. Projects will include, but are not limited to:
Talent Management status reporting, data quality reviews and preparation of talent meeting materials
Performance Management Process, assessment status reporting from CareerLink, tracking of poor performers.
Compensation reporting and year-end meeting preparation assistance
Coordinate complex immigration, relocation and transfers (estimates, preparing approval documents, ensuring approvals are acquired, work with the immigration law unit)
Work with vendors, handle administrative aspects of relocations and coordinate multiple points of contact for cross country/region transfers
Assist with ER matters and help prep for conversations by retrieving employee profiles, data, and compensation information from PeopleSoft, performance reviews from CareerLink, and provide administrative assistance, employee accommodations)
Performs general HR intake from employees and managers regarding a variety of HR related matters to include policy interpretation, employee relations, compensation, and employee benefits.
Liaise with Compensation on job evaluation process follow up and obtaining job descriptions
Participate in additional HR initiatives and key deliverables as needed
Bachelors degree, minimum 6 years HR related experience
Strong analytical and research capabilities
Strong technical and computer skills (SharePoint, MS Office, Taleo, PeopleSoft and other HR systems)
Solid Project Management skills
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and projects with competing priorities and deadlines
Strong client service orientation with balance on managing expectations
Deals with complex requests with accuracy and efficiency
Extremely detail oriented, expertise in fact checking, data verification, and cross-referencing complex information
Excellent follow-up skills; proven effective interpersonal and communication skills
