About This Position
In keeping with the Dignity Health Central Coast health care philosophy, the Human Resources Technician, performs under minimal supervision a variety of technical and administrative duties including responsibility for reception, data entry, administrative clerical support in the areas of benefits, leaves of absence, event planning, and implementation and compliance with HR policies and programs. The Technician provides accurate, responsive and efficient HR information to applicants, employees and Hospital Management of all levels. Provides administrative support to the HR Operations Director and VP. This position reports to the Human Resources Operational Director.
The priority of this position will be to assist in Recruiting. Mainly reviewing and forwarding resumes, assisting candidates in the application process, and answering questions regarding status of resumes.
Bachelor’s degree in related field. Ability to provide varied technical and administrative assistance; analyze, interpret and effectively apply pertinent policies, procedures, regulations and contract provisions; use initiative and sound judgment within established guidelines; organize, coordinate, and prioritize a variety of assignments with varying deadlines; work effectively under pressure with frequent interruptions; handle difficult, confidential and sensitive assignments; organize and maintain a variety of confidential and statistical records; reports and files; research, compile and summarize informational materials, and prepare periodic special reports. Effective oral and written communication skills. Work independently with minimal supervision. Self-motivated, ability to make independent judgments, able to achieve results through good organizational skills. Ability to move quickly from one task to another independently. Ability to communicate effectively with peers, staff and supervisor. Ability to take instructions, comprehend and follow through effectively. Critical thinking and creative problem solving skills are essential. Preferred demonstrated proficiency in Lawson, CAS, Ceridian, IVOS, Vurv, Matrix, Image Now, Word and Excel. Bilingual preferred.
