This position will support and assist in the preparation of financial information required for analysis, review, forecasting and control projects for the Human Resources Organization. This role is serves as a liaison between HR and Finance, Legal and Tax organizations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide specialized accounting support for: Benefits, Finance, Compensation and Payroll.
Perform oversight for the monthly closing process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliation and review.
Design of accounting processes for new HR programs
Coordinate and provide support for HR Annual Business Planning Process
Research and explain variances for assigned general ledger accounts to provide a better understanding of financial results.
Keeps management informed of any conditions or problems whose solution can aid the department in performing its functions.
Deliver relevant, accurate, and timely financial evaluations of the effects of prospective business actions.
Ensure Payroll & Benefits Accounting policies, processes and operating procedures are clearly defined, up to date and documented.
Ensure all Payroll & Benefits Accounting processes comply with Eastman standards and policies
Provide Project Management support for MADS work including project plan development, tracking of milestones, coordinating activities, and executing plans.
Assist in Financial Integration of HR programs of acquired companies
Submit project deliverables, ensuring adherence to timelines and standards.
Other duties may be assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required while a MAC/MBA is preferred.
3 years of Financial experience, preferably in Big 4 public accounting.
Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS (GAAP), accounting and financial reporting requirements, Enterprise systems knowledge (SAP)
Significant experience in financial accounting and reporting, auditing and financial process engineering, with record of strong control focus
Proficient in Excel (v-look ups, pivot tables, and other advanced Excel skills)
Experience working on process improvement projects preferred
Experience working in an outsourcing and/or shared services environment would be an asset
