The HRIS Analyst researches, analyzes and designs Human Resource (HR) information systems in support of human resources administration and projects. The person in this role acts as the central point of contact for generation of HR reports and serves as the primary liaison between HR, Information Systems, and Finance in relation to data accuracy and reporting consistency.
Key functions of the position include:
Creates basic report parameters and makes them available for internal customers to run as needed
Trains customers on the use of reports
Produces ad hoc reports as needed and endeavors to standardize reports for future use
Assists in defining terms, measuring fields for reporting consistency and determination of data management strategies for the Lawson HRIS system
Meets with users to develop, maintain, produce, and distribute standard and custom reports and queries to include EEO/Affirmative Action, VETS-100 and EO survey reporting
Approves and determines appropriate HR data security based on user role
Assists in the development of new reporting tools to support GFS’ initiatives, serving GFS customers
Sets up and maintains Lawson Benefit Plans, instituting changes to Lawson structure as appropriate
Updates annual benefits and develops and publishes annual Benefit Election Communication and annual Compensation Statements
Researches impact of Lawson changes on current HR processes, performs testing scenarios, approves migration from test to production, and makes functionality recommendations for HR/Lawson systems
Continually monitors information needs and designs new or modifies existing systems to meet changing requirements
Recommends new equipment or new software in support of objectives
Serves as the liaison between IS and HR to resolve programming and related problems
Adheres to the mission and cornerstone values and applicable practices of the organization
Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field through various methods and channels
Fosters peer relationships in the field to share issues and ideas
Requirements for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Human Resources or related field is preferred
3-5 years previous Human Resources Information Systems experience
Experience in working with HRIS systems, Lawson is preferred, but not required
Excellent communication skills across various channels
Strong project/priority management skills
Customer service mindset is essential
Ability to effectively solve problems on behalf of customers
