Job Description:
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate the Project HSE
Plan to all project team members as well as the
customer, vendors and subcontractors. As a
collective effort, review existing procedures,
rules, and regulations with the Project/Construction
Manager and their staff for the purpose of making
any necessary revisions. Enforce the use of safe
work practices using corrective action and
recognition programs. Provide HSE information to be
posted in a location accessible to all employees.
  • Maintain current knowledge of published HSE
literature, HSE regulations, state codes, and other
communications, and advise management about OSHA and
MSHA compliance and of conditions requiring
attention. Provide job locations with state or city
HSE codes, as necessary.
  • Coordinate and conduct all required incident and
injury investigations, review investigations and
corrective actions, and ensure corrective actions
are brought to closure. Generate all accident and
investigative reports.
  • Indoctrinate all new employees in an effort to
achieve alignment to the OneWay To Zero Harm
philosophy. Develop a recognition program that
reinforces safe work practices for all project team
members. Issue WorleyParsons OneWay handbook to all
new employees. Conduct weekly supervisor's safety
meeting and maintain documentation of attendance.
Maintain employee workplace training and work place
inspection records including corrective actions.
Maintain OSHA 300 Log Information and accident
reports as required. Perform daily inspections of
all project activities, including contractors?, and
take actions to correct any unsafe conditions or
practices. Investigate all equipment damage and
report to WorleyParsons Insurance Department.
Maintain records of crane and equipment inspections.
Analyze statistical data and inspections, delineate
problem areas, recommend solutions, and coordinate
workplace HSE system efforts.
  • Initiate measures to correct unsafe or unhealthy
conditions and work practices when observed or
reported. Initiate measures to prevent environmental
occurrences and action plans for when they occur.
Monitor the use of all personal protective
equipment, evaluate its effectiveness, train
personnel on its use and suggest improvements as
warranted. Requisition all HSE equipment. Maintain
stock of required HSE equipment.

Job Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree in related field or applicable
discipline, or equivalent or relevant HSE
experience. Generally 8 to 10 years experience in
field or more; Typically 5+ years supervisory and/or
management experience; Manages work directly and
indirectly through Managers or Professionals leading
others. Characterized as strategically managing
development and implementation of programs and
processes.
  • Manages specialized, complex (high-impact) function
or multiple, but homogenous and less complex
functions; Responsible for implementation of
strategic programs and policies for their functional
group, which have a global impact; Develops
departmental plans, including business, production,
and/or organizational priorities; Produces
integrated solutions to strategic issues and
presents recommendations to senior leaders;
Typically position has high impact on global
business results at the functional level;
  • Ability to troubleshoot and develop strategic
implementation plans for new concepts and ideas as
required by senior leaders and business objectives;
Solutions are derived from knowledge gained through
past external experiences and internal resources,
including policies and procedures.
  • The ability to effectively communicate and present
complex program proposals and reports to senior
level management is critical. Ability to persuade
and influence others is critical. Participative
management style with a cooperative team approach.
Proven leadership skills in multi-cultural and
possibly multi-national environments. Commitment to
customer service and ability to work in a
team-oriented environment. Manages lower level
managers or supervisors or professionals leading
others Typically will interface with lower level
personnel, upper level management, customers, and
outside vendors.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish is required
  • valid passport
  • Ability to walk, stand and climb in for extended
periods as needed in the refinery grounds
  • Previous refinery rehabilitation experience highly
desired
  • Previous work expererience as a Health, Safety and
Environmental professional in a refinery or
petrochemical complex is required
  • Ability to work onsite in Ecuador for
