We are currently seeking a passionate Sr. HTML/JavaScript Developer for our Bothell, WA operations. Our ideal candidate will be fanatical about HTML5/JavaScript development for tablet and desktop applications. This candidate should be able to thrive in a startup-like environment where you do things properly the first time and improve your systems with each subsequent release. In this role, you will be creating new, cutting edge HTML5/JavaScript feattures and some of the backend Web services

Required Technical Skills:
  • Experience developing with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and general Web 2.0 techniques
  • Experience working with third party Ajax libraries and frameworks (e.g. jQuery, JSON, RequireJS, etc.)
  • Understanding of web services technologies such as HTTP, WSDL, XSD, and SOAP
  • Hands-on expertise working with relational databases and SQL
  • Intimate knowledge of Java 1.5 or higher
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and agile development environment
  • Familiarity with software development best practices, including design patterns, TDD and refactoring strategies
  • Experience developing single-page applications
  • Some experience and understanding of Java web services is a plus
Additional Technologies Used Regularly by Development Team:
  • XML/XSLT
  • JIRA/Crucible/Fisheye
  • Automated build tools such as Jenkins
  • Unit Test tools such as JUnit, QUnit or similar
Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate knowledge of usability principals including cross-browser compatibility and accessibility best practices
  • Design and implement reliable, high performance solutions to issues
  • Design user friendly interfaces and maintain the overall usability of our web based applications
  • Interface with colleagues to determine roadmap requirements and propose designs
  • Redesign and (if necessary) re-implement the user interface of core product

  • Expected to take ownership of product components and guide feature development with the business
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to express technical ideas clearly in writing
  • Experience mentoring software engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective
  • Thoroughly enjoys the art and discipline of software development
