Conducts sales of HVAC parts and supplies over the phone and over the counter.
Order required parts.
Answer customer calls, identify parts, and provide technical support to customers when required.
Actively makes customers aware of product promotions.
Responds to customer inquiries, questions, or complaints regarding products or services.
Possesses knowledge of the Trane product line and other lines carried to be able to demonstrate and discuss knowledgeably.
Inform customers of standard procedures or resolution of problems. Follows up either verbally or in writing.
Determine best method to resolve problems to ensure customer satisfaction and company adherence to policies.
Responsible for warranty administration on all parts.
Conduct self-study such as reading, research and assigned practice to improve abilities in company’s products.
•Adheres to company safety standards and must have high regard to employee safety.
•Prepares reports and correspondence as required. Record call log for each of the 25 customers that associate calls on. Associate will give update on these customers’ activities to Parts Manager.
•Arrange and participate in meetings, conferences, and project team activities.
•Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between customers/suppliers/visitors/enquirers and relevant staff, and interpret and respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions. Provide accurate and timely information.
•Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures.
•Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role. Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
•Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of equipment.
•Other responsibilities as required.
Associates or Bachelor degree required. At least one year of relevant experience preferred. Must have excellent communication (both verbal and written) skills. Must be computer literate.
