Head Cross Country / Track and Field Coach
Job Description: The College at Brockport, an NCAA Division III institution sponsoring 23 intercollegiate sports and with over 600 student-athletes invites applications for a Head Cross Country / Track and Field Coach. The appointment will begin with the academic year 2013-2014. Responsibilities include coaching cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field, recruiting qualified student-athletes, practice and contest preparation, budget administration and supervision of assistant coaches.
Facilities: Completed in July 2012, the Special Events Recreation Center (SERC) is a $44 million, 156,000 square-foot, multi-use complex with a seating capacity of 5,500. The state-of-the-art, three-story facility features a brand-new fitness center and weight room and indoor training and competition venue for track and field.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor†s degree and 3-5 years coaching experience at the college level; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; valid driver†s license and ability and willingness to drive fleet vehicles; experience with the organization and administration of a collegiate athletic team and recruiting in a competitive intercollegiate environment are required. CPR /AED certifications will be required within one month of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated success as a head cross country / track and field coach at the intercollegiate level including overall team success, evidence of successful retention and commitment to academic success of student-athletes.
