Manhattan College, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), is seeking applications for vacant position of Head Men’s and Women’s Cross-Country Coach. The successful candidate will direct all aspects of the Manhattan College men’s and women’s cross-country program and serve as an assistant track & field coach.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, recruitment of qualified student-athletes, supervision of assistant coaches, meet scheduling, direction of all practices and implementation of meet strategies, successful management of men’s and women’s cross-country budget, fundraising, support student-athlete academic success, and develop championship teams while maintaining the highest ethical standards. The successful candidate will also work to develop a positive atmosphere for the program both internally and externally to the athletic department and College.
The Head Men’s & Women’s Cross-Country Coach will manage the program within the guidelines of NCAA, MAAC and Manhattan College rules and regulations. The Head Men’s and Women’s Cross-Country Coach will report directly to the Sr. Associate Director of Athletics. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and previous competitive or coaching experience at the collegiate level.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree and previous head coaching experience at the collegiate level.
