Under the direction of the Parks and Recreation Department, this position is responsible for cashiering duties, working with patrons, and scheduling cashiers. This is a part-time seasonal position, generally for the spring and summer months only, and may be scheduled for approximately 35 hours per week.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for meeting and greeting patrons, accepting admission fees, handling money, completing daily cash reports, issuing season swim passes, performing light janitorial work, and answering the phone. Will also handle patron concerns and manage the work schedules of cashiers.
Education and Experience:
Minimum age is 16. Minimum of one year of experience working with the public and handling money, with some supervisory experience, is desired.
Applicants over age 18 must have a valid Class C Texas driver’s license with a good driving record and ability to maintain while employed.
American Red Cross, CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications or equivalent are required and must be valid and maintained for the duration of the swim season.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to effectively communicate with staff and patrons. Ability to complete basic math calculations and operate a computer. Ability to successfully complete all pre-employment tests and background checks.
May be required to work evenings and weekends.
