Supervise all teller staff to ensure compliance to Bethpage FCU policy and procedure. Assist in the training and development of new and current teller staff to ensure understanding of system and company policy and procedure. Responsible for the secure maintenance of all control items within the branch, including but not exclusive to Cash, Travelers Check Stock, and Gift Card Stock. Ensure that member service is at its highest levels at all times specific to teller line staffing. Utilize management decision making skills on a daily basis to authorize system and policy overrides. Responsible for the scheduling of teller staff on a daily basis, ensuring appropriate coverage during peak times. Involved in the coaching and mentoring of staff utilizing mystery shops and scorecard results as material. Responsible for teller performance evaluations, performance issues, new hires and transfers.

30% Supervise and coordinate the activities of all teller staff on a daily basis. Coaching and mentoring staff on performance to encourage growth and improve sales and service levels. Verify completeness and accuracy of subordinates work, computations and records.

20% Ensure daily balancing of branch and all control items to ensure compliance to all Bethpage policies and procedures. Maintain and reconcile control items on regular basis to ensure compliance to Bethpage policy and procedure.

15% Perform functiosn of an LMS Representative assisting members with account opening, loan inquiry and other various member service issues that may arise.

15% Assist management in the completion of branch reports.

10% Manage cash flow of branch through maintenance of appropriate cash levels within the branch. Perform ATM and Vault Settlements accurately and in compliance with internal policies and procedures.

10% Plans and prepares scheduling for teller staff and ensure appropriate staff levels at peak volume times.


  • 2 – 3 Years of Financial Industry experience
  • 1+ years of previous supervisory experience
  • Some sales or customer service background

Some college required, degree preferred or related work experience.


  • Good professional and business-like presentation required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledgeable in lending products
  • Notary license
  • PC, Windows, and Internet proficient
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Familiarity with financial instruments
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Flexibility to travel to and work in other branches, based on business need
