Header Entry Technicians are responsible for efficient and accurate data entry input of non-drug prescription order information into the computer system.
Data entry information includes patient and doctor names, addresses, payment information, patient profiles, etc. while maintain g company quality standards.
Process all new and all refill prescriptions. Open orders as needed, verify eligibility, proof and input prescriptions while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
Initiate and document correspondence and follow up in system.
Forward incomplete or rejected scripts to appropriate department for resolution and track status is the system. Work collaboratively with other team members and supervisor to ensure that best practices are shared.
May assist with the research of lost or missing orders per internal department requests. May provide back up support to other pharmacy groups based on business needs or production levels. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that works well with all fellow employees.

High School diploma or equivalent required. Pharmacy experience preferred. Strong data entry skills, typing skills and 10-key skills required.
Basic math skills and P.C. skills necessary. Strong attention to detail with good organizational ability needed. Ability to work in fast-paced, production environment.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs is essential.
