                          Qualifications
                          • High School diploma or equivalent required
                          • Current CPR certification required
                          • 6-months recent experience as a Unit Clerk/Secretary preferred
                          • 6-months recent Nursing Assistant experience in an Acute Care setting preferred
                          • Good computer skills required
                          • Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
                          • Great attitude, excellent customer service and communication skills required
                          • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
                          Summary
                          The Health Care Partner position involves working in a clerk role including welcoming and greeting patients and visitors, answering the telephone and call lights, responding to patient requests for assistance. This position also involves assisting nursing staff with transporting, transferring and discharging patients, as well as stocking supplies and cleaning and maintaining equipment.

                          Sharp Mary Birch Maternal Infant Services is a busy mother baby unit with 72-beds providing post-partum and newborn care.

                          Located in San Diego, it is nationally recognized for its’ care of expectant mothers and delivering babies, as well as its Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – the largest in Southern California. Other services include Operating Room suites and PACU, Mother/Infant Services, Women’s Acute Care, and the Perinatal Special Care Unit with centralized monitoring specializing in high-risk antepartum care.
                          Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women and Newborns provides a full range of medical and surgical services for women of all ages, including robotic gynecologic surgery and oncology and is San Diego's only hospital dedicated to women's care. In 2009 and 2010, the hospital received the Press Ganey Summit Award for physician satisfaction scores above the 95th percentile or above for their two most recent physician partnership reports.

                          Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns is a nationally recognized, full-service Women's Hospital with approximately 8,500 deliveries per year. Sharp Mary Birch Hospital is part of the Sharp HealthCare system, which won the 2007 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. This position is for the Maternal Infant Services unit. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills and will demonstrate an ability to work in a fast paced environment. The Health Care Partner must possess the ability to collaborate with other team members. Located in San Diego, Sharp Mary Birch is nationally recognized for its care of expectant mothers and delivering babies, as well as its 61-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) – the largest of its kind in Southern California. Women's services include 22 Labor and Delivery suites, 9 Operating Room suites and 12-bed PACU, 72-bed Mother/Infant Unit, 18-bed Women’s Acute Care, 18-bed Perinatal Special Care Unit with centralized monitoring specializing in high-risk antepartum care.
