Help Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc. be a leader in the industry by acting as the Health & Safety Specialist in Irving, TX .
Conduct safety audits then develop and implement corrective action plans.
Assist in the development and grow the safety observations through Loss Prevention Observation program while conducting service a longs.
Provide feedback to field leadership, and recommends change to align with safety best business practices.
Provide Smith System Defensive Driver training.
Perform quality assurance and reviews injury and accident reports for accuracy and closure.
Ensure the all incidents are finalized.
Develop and deliver safety curriculum.
Coordinate and conduct industrial hygiene surveys – these reports require air testing and submitting the results to lab for results, results are submitted to the regulatory office for compliance.
Perform various administrative duties related to implementing SK policies & procedures.
Maintain external EHS customer databases.
Other duties as required.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline required (i.e. Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Public Health, Industrial Hygiene, etc.)
6+ months of work experience preferred
Ability to travel 60%-70% required
Strong verbal and written communication skills required
Typical shift is 8 hours w/possible over-time. To perform the duties of this job employee must have the ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, kneel, climb, reach, squat, stoop, and twist, use a Computer and have the ability to drive a company vehicle, if needed. Must also have the ability to carry, lift, pull and push from 1 – 25 lbs., with repetitive movement of both hands.
