Overseeing the day to day operations of the Dining Room while assisting in managing Servers, Bussers, and Host/Hostess according to established guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing the Dining Room during the absence of Dining Room Manager.
Ensure servers are ready for service before dining room is opened.
Handling all customer complaints in a professional manner.
Checking each Server one at the time to ensure the entire side work is completed at the end of his/her shift.
Complete, print and send out DS MGR report and place in binder.
Check on function set up for the next day-using Servers that are scheduled.
Assist with scheduling of staff.
Assist with special functions at the Community.
Ensure Servers utilize proper food handling and food service techniques.
Ensure Servers greet, take meal/drink orders and serves meals in a friendly and timely manner.
Ensure Resident and/or Guest is satisfied with their meals.
Ensure Servers maintain knowledge of all specials and general description of all food items and explain to Residents and/or Guests.
Ensure Servers maintain all side stations and dining areas using the “clean as you go” policy.
Ensure Servers follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
Assist with orientation and training of new Servers.
Ensure Servers practice all safety and loss prevention procedures.
Ensure set-up and cleans the Dining Room while maintaining or exceeding hospitality and service standards.
Ensure Servers are maintaining or exceeding standards of appearance, cleanliness, personal sanitation, and hygiene.
Ensure all in-services as required.
Other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in fine dining preferred.
