HealthFitness has a great opportunity for a part-time, temporary (8 hours per week, for 1 year) Health Promotion Coordinator at our client site located in Newark, OH.
Promote and support the client's Active Health Wellness initiative, Healthy Living.
Planning and delivery of site specific programs that support the Healthy Living program.
Planning and delivery of site specific programs that support prevalent risks within the population at the location as identified in Active Health/Healthy Living reporting.
Establish and lead the site wellness committee.
Acquire program buy-in and support throughout all levels of the client's location.
Evaluate and enhance program delivery channel through the Safety teams or applicable meetings that may exist today (e.g. shift meetings).
Interact directly with employees, present at departmental meetings and directly interact with the client's leadership at the location.
Determine integration with the client's Safety and Occupational Health & Safety capabilities.
Promote and market the Program effectively by utilizing existing resources.
Collect and evaluate appropriate program data and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of all data collected.
Support the Health Assessment and Screening Process (as applicable).
Conduct Awareness Campaigns, as applicable (Posters/Bulletin Boards).
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in health/fitness related field or equivalent work experience required.
Current First Aid and CPR certifications preferred, but required upon start.
CHES, ACSM, and fitness certifications preferred.
Minimum of 2+ years proven wellness experience.
Very strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of individuals both within the site.
Highly organized yet can work in a flexible fast paced environment.
