DSCI is seeking a Help Desk Technician to join our Team in US Naval Base (USNB) Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), Migrant Operations, Detainee Operations, Humanitarian Assistance, Disaster Relief, Guantanamo Naval Base and US Military Support Operations.

The Help Desk Technician must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

  • Perform diagnostics, Problem identification and Respond to user problems, follow up on initial problem report and maintain logs that document all issues.
  • Response to problems, escalate complex problems to system administrators and track problems through resolution.
  • Install and Implement an automated trouble ticket and reporting system.
Additional requirements include, but are not limited to:
  • Track technical support from vendors
  • Provide Trend Analysis
  • Provide detailed Mission Logs input
  • Monitor servers, workstations, routers, and switches5. Small computer troubleshooting and hardware repairs
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly system backups
  • Assist in the trouble-shooting and fault isolation of all systems
  • Monitor the JTF-GTMO networks and collect performance statistics on bandwidth utilization, CPU utilization, and latency
  • Manage user accounts and perform systems diagnostics and initial troubleshooting on all JTF-GTMO servers, workstations and networks in the event of outages or system failures, and provide additional status/information
  • The contractor shall keep a constant vigilance for new anti-virus signature files and pass the information to system administrators for installation and distribution
  • Perform other necessary functions associated with the core help desk mission of providing prompt identification and resolution of all system trouble reports resolution on hardware, software, networks and servers.
