The Home provides programs and services for these children and young adults in crisis:

*Medically fragile and terminally ill children who require 24-hour-a-day skilled nursing care.

*Those who require emergency care due to abuse, abandonment, neglect or are homeless; or who need foster care.

*To homeless, pregnant, or parenting teens, and their family members needing case management, education, parenting, and independent living skills.

*Children with autism & special needs.

*Young adults who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, are in crisis due to mental health or abuse, and to families who are struggling to maintain their children in their homes to provide stability and skills for self-sufficiency.

Full-time; 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Friday with some evenings and weekends; 40 hours per week.

This position serves Region 15 in Southern Indiana (counties: Dearbourn, Decatur, Jefferson, Ripley, Ohio, and Switzerland).

A Bachelors, or Master's, Degree required from a university that is accredited by an accrediting body of the Council on Higher Education Accreditation in a Human Service field or equivalent in a social service or other related human service field required. Two years relevant experience preferred.

The general purpose of your job is to keep children who are clients of HOTI safe at all times and to be respectful of the children and their families as valued customers. The primary purpose of your job position as a IFPS In Home Specialist is to perform as a member of the clinical team in-home (face to face) services to high risk families whose children are at risk of entering States Care or who have already entered States care and reunification is eminent in Region 15 in the following counties of Dearbourn, Decatur, Jefferson, Ripley, Ohio, and Switzerland. A IFPS In Home Specialists focus is to assess and teach specifically behavioral tasks to increase overall family safety and enhance family functioning to prevent at risk children of entering States care. IFPS employees serve as a supporting role to the parents, children, school teachers, and therapeutic providers who work with the clients.

Education Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in a Human Services field
