Analyze Garnishment Orders, evaluating legal requirements
• Process Garnishments Orders in SAP according to analysis
• Maintain strict time lines daily for all orders received/processed
• Maintain requirements of orders issued by courts across the United States
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding court orders, including
Publix associate and recipient of payment
• Respond to inquiries by Publix Legal department
• Respond to court based inquiries of associates and orders
• Maintain garnishment general ledger accounts in SAP
• Maintain all work instructions for Garnishment processing procedures
• Analyze updates and changes to garnishment processing in
testing environment
• Execute new audits within guidelines and ensure all audits are solid
• Analyze and maintain best business practices for garnishment
processing
• Provide ad hoc reports and queries as necessary
• Maintain monthly KPI Reporting
• Multiple projects and tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications
• Associate’s degree in a legal or an analytical field or equivalent experience
• At least two years experience working in a legal field, Payroll or an equivalent technical field of a large corporation
• solid analytical / problem solving skills
• excellent verbal and written communication skills

• ability to work nights, weekends and extended periods of time including overtime to ensure work tasks are complete
• ability to continually analyze and identify enhancements to daily garnishment processes

• ability to work under deadlines and handle a high volume of work accurately and timely
• professionally be able to handle extremely confidential and sensitive information at all times
• ability to work independently

• working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an analytical field as well as legal exposure
• knowledge of Publix's organizational structure
• experience interpreting court orders
• ability to write queries
• knowledge of structured writing
• working knowledge of CQI methodologies

• No vacations during the months of December and January
• Limited vacation in November (no full weeks)

Year End Bonus
• To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in December. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks pay.
