PURPOSEThe Team Leader leads Team Members' work activities through managing, supervising and training. Ensures the highest level of customer satisfaction by executing the quality and productivity of The Maids system in every customer home. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssign, supervise and delegate duties to each Team Member to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, proper procedures, and correcting errors or problems.Enforce strict policies and procedures, and in the use and maintenance of equipment.Select the most suitable cleaning materials for furniture, floors, and other surfaces.Direct and coordinate the activities of Team Members; perform cleaning functions and assist with cleaning duties as necessary.Observe and evaluate Team Members' performance to ensure quality service.Review driving instructions with Team Members. Read maps and effectively communicate written and verbal geographic directions.Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.Report any automobile mechanical problems encountered to Field or Operations Manager(s).Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.Conduct thorough initial, half-time, and post-cleaning walkthroughs of homes to ensure conformance to established standards.Contact office with customer complaints regarding worker performance, services and/or equipment.Collect payments, while interacting with clients in a positive, professional manner.Accurately log the team's "time in" and "time out" for each home, and log vehicle mileage information.Responsible for all customer materials, including, but not limited to, thank you cards, checklist fill out, completed route cards, and Customer Instruction Sheets.Ensure necessary supplies and equipment.Meet with managers and other supervisors to stay informed of changes affecting operations.After initial training by Field Manager, monitor new and experienced employees on the job and trains when necessary.Recommend promotions, transfers, or dismissals.Must meet all qualifications and perform duties and responsibilities of The Maids Home Services Team Member. (See the job duties for a Team Member.) MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).Thorough understanding and background knowledge, or experience associated with cleaning/hospitality.Supervisory experience and/or demonstrated supervisory potential as would be acquired through one to three years of related experience.Certified Executive Housekeeper (CEH) or Registered Executive Housekeeper (REH). The CEH designation is offered to those with a high school education, while the REH designation is offered to those who have a 4-year college degree. Both designations are earned by attending courses and passing exams; and both must be renewed every 2 years to ensure that workers keep abreast of new cleaning methods.
