Fairfax Hospital is a 157 licensed bed facility
providing psychiatric and dual disorders treatment for children,
adolescents and adults as well as two alternative school programs and
CD services. The hospital is located in a quiet residential
neighborhood on the Eastside of Seattle.
Supervisor (R.N) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes,
coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts
with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and
the standards of care and practices. The
House Supervisor must be able to demonstrate the knowledge
and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical,
psycho/social, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate
to the age of all patients served. The House Supervisor oversees
the provision of care of the facility and has supervisory
responsibilities for Nurses and Program Specialists.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years experience as
a registered nurse in a psychiatric health care facility
preferred. Leadership/management experience as a House
Supervisor also preferred.
Licensure: Currently licensed
to practice by the State Board of Nursing. Currently licensed to
drive with a valid driver's license.
Requirements: CPR certification; knowledgeable on all standards of
care by Joint Commission, state licensing/regulatory agencies.
Must pass a medication administration exam and complete a basic
developmental competency exam and complete CPI training and age
specific training within 30 days of employment.
