Sweep, vacuum, dust, wash, scour and sanitize areas thoroughly as assigned. Move furniture and equipment as necessary to clean. Observes and uses proper procedures for waste disposal per facility policy. Performs cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy and department standards. Properly uses chemicals, understands and adheres to facility Right to Know Policy, and is knowledgeable of MSDS for chemicals used to perform functions of job. Maintains all areas assigned in the facility in a continuous state of sanitation, odor free and safe. Dispenses soap, paper and other housekeeping supplies, refills products in lounges, restrooms, etc. Maintains equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly manner. Observes Universal Precautions and Infection Control procedures related to Environmental Services. Understands and follows Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy and reporting procedure. Is aware of and adheres to Resident Bill of Rights. Recognizes and acts on safety hazards – wipes up spills or wet spots off floor, keeps hallway uncluttered when using cleaning equipment. Keeps harmful chemicals safely stored and away from Tenants. Plans work, so minimal disturbance is caused to Tenants. Attends departmental and mandatory meetings as required. Follows safely rules and regulations. Accepts assigned duties in a cooperative manner. Assists with other environment service functions, i.e. laundry, custodial. Reports any unobserved area in poor repair to appropriate supervisor.
