This position is for a part-time Housekeeping Supervisor and also part-time Housekeeper.
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible to assign rooms and then check the cleaniness of each room to make sure that it is completed based on the hotel standards. The Supervisor needs to have some computer knowledge.
The Housekeeper is responsible for the outstanding cleanliness, arrangement, and supply of guest rooms in his or her assigned section. He or she maintains a spotless appearance through regular, safe, thorough, and systematic housekeeping duties.
The ideal candidate for this position has some high school education and prior relevant experience is required. He or she must work a flexible schedule and have the physical stamina to perform the duties of this position. The Supervisor/Housekeeper must be committed to the guests, reliable to his or her co-workers, and be a self-motivated, organized, and detailed individual. English speaking and written communication skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
-- Provides the highest quality of service to the customer at all times
-- Cleans and returns vacant dirty rooms to a vacant ready status and occupied dirty rooms to an occupied clean status, which includes lighting fixtures, ceilings and vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows and window coverings, floors, and carpets
-- Assists in general cleaning program by changing blankets, bedspreads, and mattress pads as instructed
-- Maintains a clean and orderly housekeeping cart
-- Reports any material discrepancies beyond the scope of the Housekeeping Department to the appropriate supervisor
-- Assists in maintaining other areas of the hotel in a clean and orderly condition (for example, the employee break room and any back of the house areas)
-- Responds to guest requests and inquiries immediately
-- Wears proper uniform at all times
-- Has a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures
-- Practices safety standards at all times
