The purpose of this position is to implement facility housekeeping procedures in an efficient, cost-effective manner to safely meet resident needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements. Fill in for employees vacation, sick time, etc.
Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
Remove waste and dispose of waste in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
Assist in the proper care of housekeeping equipment .
Follow guidelines outlined in MSDS sheets when using cleaning or other supplies.
Monitor use and inventories of supplies and notify supervisor of anticipated needs.
Identify and report all equipment malfunctions to supervisor, observe lock out and tag out procedures.
Label or otherwise restrict access to areas rendered higher risk due to housekeeping tasks, e.g., wet floors.
Observe and report wear or damage to areas of the facility.
Assist in the departmental orientation and training of new employees.
Meets or exceeds goals assigned daily for completion of tasks.
Completes daily room and common area assignments to quality specifications established by manager.
Consistently monitors common areas and takes appropriate action (removing trash, cleaning up spills or messes) without prompting.
Interacts appropirately with residents and family members and responds to specific individualized requests (e.g., dates and times for cleaning, special instructions for placement of items, etc.)
