As a Training Specialist, you will be joining a growing team of professionals who provide Web-based and instructor-led training, change management, and strategic performance improvement services to the Federal government. The Training Specialist will contribute to the development of innovative, accurate, timely, and high-quality educational and training products and services (such as—but not limited to—training manuals and materials, training needs assessments, Web-based training products, and job aids and performance support tools), typically working on multiple projects simultaneously with all levels of staff.
This position requires limited, infrequent travel.
Coordinate with other members of project teams throughout the company to create training products and provide training services
Prepare high-quality deliverables, including reports, notes, and course materials
Interact with federal and commercial clients
Assist with qualitative and quantitative research, including coordinating logistics and conducting analysis
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Psychology, Political Science, Public Policy, Liberal Arts, or related subjects with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
3 years of intermediate or advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)
Ability to provide a Word, PowerPoint, and Excel writing sample
Keen interest in learning the foundations of the training and organizational development industry
Exceptional research and writing skills
Qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis; developing and delivering presentations
Experience in developing and/or delivering training materials
Education or classes in learning theory and/or instructional design
Expertise in MS-Access, Visio, and survey software
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment under strict deadlines
Ability and interest in working on multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Demonstrated outstanding level of professionalism in providing administrative support, including ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy
Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, clients, and vendors
Superior interpersonal skills, including courtesy, professionalism, and a collaborative attitude
Ability and interest in learning new software tools and information and in transferring this knowledge to others
Ability and willingness to develop and deliver presentations
Ability to complete high-quality deliverables when working independently and cooperatively; knowing when to seek guidance and ask questions for clarification
Ability to apply detailed knowledge of organizational procedures to make independent decisions and serve as a credible resource for a senior management team
Excellent problem solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions
