Described by industry experts as a daring innovator and smart competitor, H-E-B has led the way with creative new concepts, outstanding service and a commitment to diversity in our workforce and marketplace.H-E-B offers a competitive compensation and benefits program as well as comprehensive training that lead to successful careersJob Summary: Provides coaching and guidance to management and HR leaders in Manufacturing/Warehousing and Transportation at multiple Houston facilities.Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary: - Supports multiple client groups / facilities- Cultivates and maintains a productive business partner relationship with client group(s)- Exercises confidentiality and demonstrates a strong, neutral Human Resources perspective in all interactions- Promotes high professional standards, positive interpersonal relations and a problem-solving approach in all situations- Handles confidential HR functions, exercising judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action- Gathers, develops and interprets data and makes recommendations on appropriate actions for the client group(s), e.g., survey results- Executes and implements change initiatives and understands how they align with goals and strategies- Collaborates with Partners and management to communicate HR policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations- Performs Partner relations activities- Facilitates and / or provides corporate training, management / leadership programs, certification programs and complianceEducation and Experience preferred- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field or comparable experience- 3 - 5 years of experience in Human Resources or related retail experience- PHR certification preferred- Intermediate organization and time management skills with ability to multi-task and attention to detail- Intermediate PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite software - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook - as well as computer software programs / applications (e.g. PeopleSoft, HRIS, Kenexa, etc.) required by the job- Working knowledge and expertise in business operations- Working knowledge and expertise in Human Resources and Labor RelationsKey Competencies preferred: - Intermediate written and verbal communication and presentation skills- Ability to work in a team environment- Ability to work complex issues with senior management- Advanced negotiation and influencing skillsPhysical and other requirements: - Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment- Travel by car or airplane with overnight stays- Lift 20 lbs or more on an occasional basis- Work extended hours
