This role is ideal for someone who wants to work 20 hours per week to gain experience in the HR field. This position requires working each day of the work week, with complete flexibility to set your own daily schedule.
Essential duties include:
Administrative support which includes filing, updating tracking spreadsheets, assisting payroll processing, maintaining internal HR intranet pages, preparing new hire and exit paperwork and various administrative projects
Customer service to all Seattle BioMed employees, assisting them with forms and other HR specific questions
Management of Seattle BioMed’s transportation and student employment programs
Provide support for recruitment including posting jobs on websites, creating job advertisements, scheduling interviews, creating offer letters
Job Requirements include:
Strong customer service focus with emphasis on professionalism and team-oriented attitude
High school diploma plus a minimum of one year office/administrative experience required
Advanced knowledge of MS Outlook and Word applications; basic knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to exercise good judgment, take initiative and independently manage workload with emphasis on critical thinking skills and creativity
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with a non-profit environment a plus
Enthusiasm to work with a diverse population
