The Department Assistant will provide full administrative support to the Human Resources Generalist group supporting Nickelodeon to ensure that the day-to-day operations of the department run effectively and efficiently. The primary responsibilities of the Human Resources Department Assistant include the following:

Provide full-cycle administrative coverage to The HR Generalist Group in support of various HR projects and initiatives.

Assist with creating various HR reports and preparing presentation decks for the Nickelodeon client group.

Facilitate and manage the electronic routing of employee forms (such as PAFs and termination notices) as well as position change forms (such as PMAFs and HAFs).

Manage all aspects of the Staffing Requisition process, including the creation and tracking of HAFs in Peoplesoft and routinely interacting with the Nickelodeon strategic staffing specialists (recruiters).

Heavy interface with the Nickelodeon client population at all levels

Maintain employee files. Regularly file all employee documentation (PAFs, employment contracts, benefits confirmation sheets, STIP confirmations, performance appraisals, new hire paperwork, address change forms, etc.) keeping files orderly and current.

Send out e-mail termination notifications to designated internal MTVN departments; forward e-mail equipment retrieval forms to supervisors, prepare termination checklist, and close out employee files.

Provide telephone coverage and maintain calendar for SVP, including scheduling meetings as necessary.

Prepare T&E reports for the SVP, Human Resources.

Handle travel arrangements for the SVP, Human Resources

Handle incoming departmental mail.

Set up meetings, including all meeting logistics.

Process invoices in the Market system as necessary.

Hand delivery and pick up of confidential and time sensitive documents on a regular basis.

Handle general clerical tasks such as photocopying, faxing, overnight deliveries, and messenger deliveries.

Order supplies and track expenses for department.

Basic Qualifications:
1-3 years of human resources experience

Desired Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree Preferred

Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Ability to handle highly sensitive information and maintain confidentiality

Superior customer orientation
