As an intern with our Human Resource Team , you will work directly with the Talent Management , Benefits and HRIS teams and the GFS Canada HR Council to assist in the Talent Management implementation of the succession and development plan modules for all Broadline Divisions in Canada. Additionally, the HR intern will be assisting on the policy consistency project. This position will be located in Grand Rapids, but work with our Canada Division.
Among many responsibilities, this position is involved in the following activities on a regular basis:
Assist in the TM project implementation of the Succession and Development plan modules by providing information and guidance to the group.
Assist in the creation and design of resource materials that support training and TM project implementation
Reviewing communication, templates, instructions from a "non expert" point of view
Reviewing completion of various tasks by the Divisions; i.e. looking at specific content the divisions provided for development plans.
Key qualifications and requirements for this position include:
High School Diploma or GED required
Must currently be in your Junior or Senior year
Pursuing a degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field
A strong interest in the food and hospitality industry
Enjoy working independently on projects
Excellent time management, organization and communication skills required
Demonstrate a strong ability to work within a fast-paced, multi-faceted work environment
