DESCRIPTION

Nonprofits First, Inc. is a Nonprofit Agency, providing Agency Certification services to other Nonprofit Agencies. We help others serve more!

This is a wonderful opportunity to use your HR Management skills in the Nonprofit Environement. It is a great professional networking opportunity as well.

We are seeking Volunteers to serve as HR Module Reviewers, during onsite Agency Certification Reviews. As an expert in Human Resources Management, you will be conducting "HR System Reviews & Audits", measured to our Certification Standards.

Volunteers are afforded an opportunity to provide expertise and support to local (Palm Beach County) agencies.

DUTIES

Volunteers will participate in on-site reviews to confirm agencies' compliance with Certification Standards.

Volunteers are an integral part of Nonprofits First, Inc.'s programs and services and may be asked to participate in ongoing trainings, as well as to provide feedback as to the effectiveness of materials and processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 5 years of experience at the management level; having served in positions including, but not limited to HR Manager, HR Director, or higher HR position(s).

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years experience at the management level.
  • Minimum of 3 years of nonprofit experience.
  • Be willing to adhere to all Volunteer policies and procedures.
  • Agree to a 1-year, part time commitment
  • Complete the required screening procedure.
  • Agree to attend Volunteer training as required.
  • Be willing to communicate regularly with the Project Leader/Volunteer Coordinator and comply with requests for information regarding availability in a timely manner.
  • Have access to the internet and email.
  • Proficiency in basic technology/computer skills and willingness to learn specialized online assessment system.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and objectivity in advisement of diverse nonprofit agencies in varying stages of development.
  • Additional position-specific requirements may be required for particular volunteer roles.
Special Requirements and Physical Demands:
  • Requires regional travel; ability to work in various locations.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in ongoing professional development activities to remain current in new developments in the field and to enhance skills, as needed.
  • Requires safely lifting or moving up to 25 lbs on an occasional basis, for example movement of materials or texts.
  • Noise level is usually quiet to moderate.
