The Data Management Office (DMO) within FISG Information Management Department is responsible for the planning and implementation of the FISG’s data strategy ensuring alignment with the National S&R Data Technology Roadmap. The DMO supports Group objectives by aligning and integrating the application of technology to facilitate business goals.
The DMO has a critical priority to hire an individual to lead the development of business solutions and to guide the creation of innovative approaches and programs in response to emerging challenges. The ideal candidate should have extensive leadership skills with information technology at a business line level. This position requires extensive strategic planning and execution in support of transformative solutions. The candidate should also possess a multidisciplinary technology background with strong project management skills. This position reports directly to the officer in charge of the Data Management Office.
Lead FISG local and System-wide initiatives to ensure alignment with the Group’s business imperatives;
Provide vision and leadership to the Group’s emerging data and information management demands, data services, and knowledge management initiatives;
Lead the development of business requirements for functional areas within
Financial Institution Supervision
Lead and partner with Financial Institution Supervision business stakeholders, technology vendors, internal and external IT stakeholders to define strategies, trends, and needs;
Partner with application development providers on the implementation of new and existing standards, technologies, and services;
Provide oversight and hands-on management of project priorities, risks, and issues to ensure timely resolution and delivery;
Provide clear project status to varying levels of management.
Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or equivalent work experience;
Minimum of ten years of experience with technology infrastructures, architecture, and system development practices with an emphasis on information management, data services, and collaboration technologies;
Broad understanding of system engineering principles and design of distributed technologies including databases, data warehouses, J2EE, and .NET;
Demonstrated ability to learn new business concepts quickly (Financial Institution Supervision knowledge a plus);
Demonstrated consultative experience in developing business requirements – self-awareness, ability to listen actively and build strong relationships at all levels;
Proven project management experience;
Strong critical thinking skills, including the ability to lead complex decision-making;
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence and build consensus with people who do not report to you;
Effective and diplomatic negotiation skills with internal and external colleagues;
Demonstrated history of effective team development and leadership;
Excellent self-management skills.
This position requires access to confidential supervisory information, which is limited to "Protected Individuals" as defined in the U.S. federal immigration law. Protected Individuals include, but are not limited to, U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, U.S. permanent residents who are not yet eligible to apply for naturalization, and U.S. permanent residents who have applied for naturalization within six months of being eligible to do so.
