The Latin America Debt Capital Markets team serves institutions in more than 20 countries providing investment, financing and liability management solutions to a broad spectrum of Latin American clients including financial institutions, governments, corporates. The LatAm DCM group bridges investment banking functions with sales and trading, and is ideal for anyone wanting a career combining both sides of the business.
Analysts in DCM are greatly exposed to the underlying framework of the debt capital markets. They have the opportunity to work on all levels of bringing a transaction to market, beginning with economic and industry/company analysis during the pitching stages and ending with the pricing/execution of multi-million/billion dollar bond offerings.
Interested candidates must have a degree from a four-year college or university, preferably with relevant coursework in finance or accounting. Credit Suisse is noted for the diversity of its employees, but seeks candidates with a common set of abilities - highly motivated and creative individuals who have demonstrated academic achievement and have the ability to work independently and as a member of a team. The ideal candidate enjoys the ins-and-outs of the market, but also likes to work in an Investment Banking and Capital Markets culture. Excellent quantitative and analytical skills are a must. In addition, the candidate must be:
• Fluent (speaking and writing) in Spanish
• Portuguese a plus
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel
• Microsoft Access
• Detail oriented
• Interested in Emerging Markets
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively with clients (both in writing and orally)
