The IBM Alliance Manager will have a significant level of alliance business development experience in large and mid-market accounts selling application services. The typical candidate will bring 5-10 years of experience managing National and Global partners.
  • Business Development Manager Experience of at least 7 years of relevant experience in application services is preferred.
  • Extensive and/or evolving knowledge of IBM technology and solutions
  • IBM software and application experience
  • Successful track record of selling services within assigned territories/client(s)
  • Significant business relationships with senior client executives
  • Solid executive presence
  • Established relationships with Executives and Sales Representatives at IBM
  • An ability to influence decision-makers at the highest levels in the client organization
  • The ability to craft and execute strategic and tactical plans to close large revenue projects
  • Familiarity with selling intangibles
Position Skills:
  • Build meaningful relationships and partnerships between IBM and Perimeter client teams to generate incremental revenue for the Alliance
  • Creating awareness, building relationships with key Perimeter and IBM Sales executives
  • Extensive knowledge of services selling and the ability to build and sustain long term relations with vendor alliances and clients to drive revenue
  • Position will work closely with the IBM Alliance Lead
  • Demonstrated success in an individual contributor Alliance sales role for a services organization

  • Capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse set of internal and partner constituencies including senior level executives, developers, and product experts
  • High integrity - honors commitments: consistent and predictable follow-up
  • Highly organized, extremely self-sufficient with high energy and enthusiasm
  • Candidates should be able to exercise sound judgment in interpreting firm policies and objectives
  • Proficiency with Firm standard word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications required
