Functions as the local project manager for the ICD-10 implementation and other related projects as needed. Reports to the Accountable Executive for the ICD-10 implementation but coordinates project work with the Director of HIM cycle projects as needed. Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited health information management education program. Master’s degree preferred. Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification preferred.
Should possess a comprehensive knowledge of revenue cycle and hospital operations as normally obtained through a bachelor’s degree in HIM, Nursing or Physician Informatics or IT and between 5-10 years of health care experience. Previous project management and/or performance improvement experience required. Must possess demonstrated kn owledge of process improvement techniques and their application. Must possess ability to lead implementation and process improvement projects with minimal supervision. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must possess strong organizational and analytical skills in order to detect and resolve problems. Ability to address complex problems with multi-level impacts using sound judgment, in-depth analysis and expertise to resolve issues. Must be able to communicate in clear, concise terms in order to discuss effectively system implementations and arrangements. Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment. Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health. Demonstrated ability to interpret federal and state regulations, and accreditation standards; ability to recommend, design and implement procedures for compliance with regulations and standards. Ability to prioritize and deliver on key initiatives; demonstrated success in achievement of key performance metric targets within time and budget constraints.
Must be able to set and organize own work priorities, and adapt to them as they change frequently. Must be able to work concurrently on a variety of tasks/projects in an environment that may be stressful with individuals having diverse personalities and work styles. Must possess the ability to comply with Trinity Health policies and procedures.
